Richard focuses on estate planning, trusts and estate administration. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Florida Bars, and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.  He serves on the ACTEC Transfer Tax Study Committee. 

 

 

GEORGE D. KARIBJANIAN

George D. Karibjanian is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Wills, Trusts & Estates and is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

George practices exclusively in the areas of estate planning and probate and trust administration, and has also represented numerous clients with respect to nuptial agreements.  

 

 

LESTER B. LAW
member

Lester B. Law focuses on estate and trust planning, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, beneficiary and fiduciary administration and income tax matters.  Lester spent the early part of his career practicing law as a trusts and estates attorney.  He then switched to an advisory role working predominately with ultra-high net worth clients in two national trust companies. 

He has worked with many entrepreneurs and their families advising them on business succession planning, including dealing not only with the transactional and tax matters, but also with family dynamics and other related issues.  With that experience, combined with his background as a certified public accountant, he brings his unique experience in understanding both the income tax, transfer tax and the family dynamic side of planning.

 

NICHOLEEN DePERSIS

Nicholeen DePersis focuses her practice on estate planning and trusts and estate administration. Prior to joining Franklin Karibjanian & Law, Ms. DePersis was with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where she was a member of the tax group. Ms. DePersis has experience advising a broad base of clients including partnerships, corporations, real estate investment trusts, private foundations and public charities on federal, state and local tax matters. Ms. DePersis has extensive experience obtaining tax-exempt status for public and private entities and advising clients on tax-deferred like-kind exchanges.

 

JANET B. LAW
Senior Counsel

Janet B. Law is a member of the District of Columbia, California and New York bars.  Ms. Law focuses her practice on estate planning and estate and trust administration.  Prior to joining Franklin Karibjanian & Law, Ms. Law practiced in the trusts and estates departments of large, medium and small law firms around the country.  In addition, Ms. Law has a decade of experience working in the Office of Chief Fiduciary at a national trust company.  Ms. Law earned her B.S. degree from Tufts University and her J.D. degree from New York University School of Law.
