Estate and Transfer Tax Planning

At Franklin Karibjanian & Law PLLC, we believe the process of a creating a successful estate plan involves thoughtful consideration of the client’s objectives and needs (both personal and financial), as well as knowledge of the applicable legal and tax rules and requirements. As part of our comprehensive approach to estate planning, we routinely draft wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives, but we also assist clients with life insurance planning and with coordinating the beneficiary designations for retirement accounts and other assets to ensure they are consistent with the clients’ overall estate plans. For clients whose assets or family circumstances warrant more extensive planning, we also advise on matters of federal and state estate tax, gift tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, and fiduciary income tax. If appropriate, we may recommend the creation of a family limited partnership, the establishment of certain irrevocable trusts, the implementation of a program of lifetime gifts to family members or charities, or the use of other techniques designed to help clients provide for future generations in a tax-efficient manner. At all times, we strive to produce creative solutions and top-quality work for our clients.
